A man has been taken to hospital in a critical condition after a crash in Takapuna, Auckland today.
The crash prompted police to close Lake Rd in the North Shore suburb while ambulance staff and a doctor revived the driver of the vehicle.
Police said it appeared the man suffered a medical event while driving.
The road has now been re-opened and the man is at North Shore Hospital.
