A man has been arrested after holding up a Taranaki service station with a bottle last night.
About 10.20pm the man entered Inglewood's Shell Service station armed with a bottle and demanded money and cigarettes from the sole worker, Constable Andrew Stilton told NZPA.
The man fled with cash and cigarettes but was arrested shortly after.
He will appear in New Plymouth District Court this morning.
