A man is in a serious condition in hospital after he was hit by an ambulance while crossing the road in south Auckland.
The incident happened on Browns Rd in Manurewa about 2am this morning.
It is understood the ambulance was attending another callout when the incident happened.
The injured pedestrian was taken to Middlemore Hospital, said a police Northern Communications spokesman.
