A man who was killed after being hit by a car in Christchurch yesterday has been named by police.
Richard James Johnson, 45, of Christchurch, was struck by on Huxley St, in the suburb of Sydenham yesterday.
"Police extend their sympathies to the family and friends of Mr Johnson," police said in a statement.
Investigations are continuing and police asked for anyone who had contact with Johnson yesterday evening to come forward.
"Any information people can provide may assist us with our nvestigation," police said.
