Police are investigating the sudden death of a man at a rural property near Oamaru.
Emergency services were called to the property at Elderslie about 4.30am where the 35-year-old man was found dead inside the house.
A scene examination was being done but police said it was too early to conclusively confirm whether the man's death was suspicious.
