KEY POINTS:
A falling hay bale may have led to the death of a man in Northland this morning.
Emergency services were called to a property in Pakaraka, 18km south of Kerikeri, about 10.55am after being told a hay bale may have fallen on a man aged in his 60s.
Ambulance staff pronounced the man dead at the scene shortly after arriving, Ambulance northern communications centre team manager Murray Bannister said. Police were investigating.
