Man found bleeding on Te Kuiti street

A man was found bleeding on a Te Kuiti street in one of two stabbings in the King Country just an hour apart overnight.

A police spokesperson said one person has been arrested but one victim refused to speak to police.

A man found with a minor stabbing wound to his stomach after a domestic incident in Piopio about 9.45pm didn't want to talk to police.

Meanwhile, a man was found bleeding but conscious on Rora St, Te Kuiti, outside the New World supermarket about 10.30pm.

The man, in his 40s, was taken to Te Kuiti Hospital.

A man, also in his 40s, was later arrested by police.
