Police carrying out a homicide investigation say a 62-year-old Far North man died of natural causes.
On Tuesday morning Kevin George Harding was found dead in a car on Tokerau Beach, northeast of Kaitaia.
Police launched a homicide inquiry and had been speaking to a 61-year-old woman in relation to
the death.
But this morning, police said a post-mortem found Mr Harding, of Karikari Peninsula, died of natural causes.
The death has been referred to the Coroner.
