An Auckland businessman accused of a $3 million fraud is fighting to keep his name under wraps.
The man appeared in the Auckland District Court today to face three charges laid by the Serious Fraud Office that he obtained money by deception.
The name of the man has been published before and his lawyer told Auckland District Court judge Christopher Field that defamation had already occurred.
The continued suppression order was opposed by the New Zealand Herald. The man was remanded until April 13 for the suppression argument to continue.
