Man faces firearms charges after raid

A man was arrested on firearms and dishonesty charges after an armed offenders squad raid on a Tauranga house early today.

The AOS burst into the Welcome Bay house at 3am and took the 28-year-old into custody.

Police said he would appear in Tauranga District Court today.
