A former Salvation Army officer appeared in the North Shore District Court yesterday charged with two sex offences dating back to the 1970s when he worked in a children's home.
The man, whose identity has been suppressed, is due to appear in court again on October 20.
Some people who were placed in the care of the Salvation Army as children are now claiming compensation for alleged physical or sexual abuse.
