KEY POINTS:
The man charged with manslaughter of a woman whose weighted down body was found in a river south of Auckland will appear in court later this week.
Joseph Proude, 45, was remanded in custody when he appeared in Manukau District Court last week seeking bail.
He remanded until Thursday for police to check out the address he would be living while on bail.
His co-accused, Here Teinakirai, 51, is on bail under strict bail conditions until a pre-depositions hearing next month.
The pair faces charges of manslaughter and offering indignity to a human body after Patricia Joseph, 37, was found in the Wairoa River near Clevedon, on January 20.
Her body was wrapped in bed linen and weighted down with a rock and police believe she may have been dead for several days before her body was dumped.
