A Kaikoura man is due to appear in court this afternoon charged over an attack on a young English tourist in the city.
The 23-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in a toilet at the A1 Motor Camp early on Friday. She is recovering in Christchurch Hospital after being stabbed in the hand with a knife as she tried to defend herself.
Police arrested a 30-year-old man late last night. He will face several charges when he appears in the Blenheim District Court today.
