A man has been charged with drug possession after dropping a bag of methamphetamine while voluntarily stripping in police custody.
Hamilton police stopped the 33-year-old gang member's car when they found him driving on a suspended license last night.
It took several minutes to pull him over and when he got out of the car, he was sweating profusely and shaking his head from side to side, police said.
He told officers he had been out at a bar watching the State of Origin match and had taken drugs.
When the man was taken to the central Hamilton Police Station for toxicology tests, he began stripping "of his own accord", police said.
That caused a bag of methamphetamine to fall out of his underwear.
The man was arrested and charged with breaching his community work, breaching release conditions, driving while suspended and possession of methamphetamine.
