A man arrested for driving through the doors of Wanganui District Court last night will return to the scene on Tuesday, for his court appearance.
A member of the public called police after seeing the 48-year-old local drive up a flight of stairs and into the front doors of the building on Market Place just after 7pm.
He then reversed and drove into the building again, smashing through the glass doors the second time.
When questioned by police, he explained his actions by saying he was "frustrated with the failures of the system", said Sergeant Shaun Jones.
He was bailed and is due to appear in the same court on Tuesday to face a charge of willful damage.
