Man dies in New Plymouth after crashing into power pole

A man has died after a car crashed into a power pole near New Plymouth last night.

Police said the driver was killed after crashing at the intersection of Tate Rd and Brown Rd in Brixton about 10.30pm.

The Serious Crash Unit has examined the scene.
