Man dies in motorcycle crash

A motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, has died after he lost control on a bend and crashed in Gore early today.

Police were called to the accident on Wentworth Street in Gore about 3.30am.

It appeared the man lost control on the bend, collided with a fence and was thrown to the grass where he was found by members of the public.

Police said the matter had been referred to the Coroner.
