KEY POINTS:
A 24-year-old Invercargill man was killed at the weekend when he fell from a building in central Queenstown.
Shaun Bernard Hogan fell to his death from the rooftop balcony of a residential apartment block about 4.45am on Saturday, the Southland Times reported.
Sergeant Kate Pirovano of Queenstown police said Mr Hogan had fallen from the third floor of the building and was killed instantly.
She said there were no suspicious circumstances and the death was an "untimely accident".
Police would not say whether alcohol was involved.
