Man dies after tractor rolls

A man has died after the tractor he was driving rolled off a driveway onto State Highway 2 near Hastings this morning.

The incident happened at Te Hauke, south of Hastings, at 8.45am.

Police are still at the scene, and one lane has been closed.

Senior Sergeant Greg Brown said both lanes would be closed around lunchtime so the scene could be cleared.

Fire crews also attended the incident.
