Man dies after Nelson accident

A man involved in a collision between two vehicles in Nelson has died.

The 59-year-old man's car ran into the back of a Toyota Hilux which had stopped to let a woman cross the road at the intersection of Trafalgar and Bridge streets yesterday afternoon.

He died after being admitted to Nelson Hospital, The Nelson Mail reported.

Police said his death had been referred to the coroner but it was not known whether his death was as a result of the accident or a medical condition.
