An elderly man has died after a car crash in the Auckland suburb of Remuera.
The accident happened at around 3.30pm this afternoon in Remuera Road.
Police inspector Lou Alofa said the man was driving a car with a trailer on the back and ran into a fence.
The man was trapped between the car and the fence.
He was in a critical condition when St John Ambulance arrived and has since died.
