Man dies after Canterbury crash

A 60-year-old man has died after a serious crash in Canterbury last night.

The man was badly injured after his vehicle left Hororata-Dunsandel Road in Dunsandel, about 48km west of Christchurch, about 8.45pm.

The man, who was the sole occupant, died from his injuries in Christchurch Hospital about 3am today.

Leeston police are investigating the cause of the crash.

Next of kin are yet to be notified.
