A man has died this morning after a farm accident in North Canterbury.
Emergency services were called at 11.20am after reports of a man becoming trapped under a farm vehicle at Waikari.
A police spokesman confirmed that the male has died.
St John and the Fire Service both attended.
A spokesman for St John southern communications said the man had been "run over by some sort of farm machinery''.
