Man dies after accident at industrial site

A 33-year-old man is dead after an accident at an industrial location in Albany.

North Shore police received a call to a local engineering company about 12.45pm and found the man seriously injured as a result of an on-site accident.

He was rushed to Auckland City Hospital, but died late yesterday afternoon.

Department of Labour safety and health officers are investigating.

Police will be reporting the incident to the coro-ner.

The authorities were still trying to contact the man's next of kin last night.
