A Kapiti man has denied threatening to kill senior cabinet minister Gerry Brownlee.
Waikanae man Stuart James Meek, 40, appeared in Porirua District Court this morning facing two charges of threatening to kill.
He is charged with threatening to kill Mr Brownlee - the National Party leader of the house whose ministerial portfolios include Canterbury Earthquake Recovery, Transport and the Earthquake Commission.
Meek is also charged with threatening to kill an unnamed parliamentary employee.
Meek pleaded not guilty to both charges and was remanded until a status hearing next month.
