KEY POINTS:
A homicide investigation was launched in Tokoroa, near Rotorua, this morning when a man died after being found lying in the street with serious injuries.
The man was spotted on St. Andrews Drive at about 2am.
He was taken to Tokoroa Hospital but died soon after arrival.
Police said his identity and the cause of death were yet to be established.
They are calling for anyone with information to contact them.
