A man driving a light truck was crushed when his vehicle rolled off the road last night.
The Youthtown Rescue Helicopter was called to the truck accident south of Turangi.
The New Zealand fire service and St John paramedics took an hour to cut the injured driver from the truck.
He received serious multiple injuries to his legs, arm and body but had been stabilised at the scene before being flown to Waikato hospital for further treatment.
