A man is in a critical condition in Dunedin Hospital after a collision in Bluff.
Police, ambulance and the Fire Service were called to the Bluff Foreshore at 9.15pm last night, where a male occupant was trapped.
He was the only person in the vehicle.
He was cut from the vehicle by Fire Service and taken to Southland Hospital in a critical condition, and was later transferred to Dunedin Hospital, where he remains in the Intensive Care Unit in an induced coma.
The Police Serious Crash Unit is investigating, and police say speed was a factor in the crash.
