A man has been critically injured in a crash between a car and a truck in Christchurch this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Prestons Rd, Marshland, about 3.30pm.
The crash brought down power lines.
Police said a man had been taken to hospital in a critical condition but there wereno other injuries.
The road is closed near Hawkins Rd and diversions are in place.
