A man has been critically injured after falling 15 to 20 metres down rocks at Sumner Lighthouse in Christchurch tonight.
Ambulance communications manager Andy Gray said the man was taken to Christchurch Hospital after the alarm was raised just before 8pm.
Firefighters helped retrieve the man, who was thought to be aged in his 20s or 30s.
