Man critical after being stabbed in Levin

A man is in a critical condition after he was stabbed several times in Levin's main street today.

The man was stabbed mainly in the stomach but also in the arms on Oxford St in the Horowhenua township, about 5.40am, a St John spokeswoman said.

He was taken to Palmerston North Hospital in a critical condition.

Police could not be reached for comment.
