Man critical after assault outside court

A man is in critical condition in hospital after being assaulted outside Waitakere District Court in West Auckland yesterday.

The 21-year-old was punched once in the head outside the court, in Henderson, about 3pm, police said.

A 19-year-old man was arrested and would appear in Waitakere District Court this afternoon charged with common assault.
