A man who suffered from a medical seizure while at the wheel of his car has crashed through a bus shelter and into a garden in the North Shore this morning.
Northern police communications manager, Inspector Willie Taylor said emergency services arrived at the scene on Onewa Rd in Northcote at 7.15am.
He said a 40-year-old male driver had suffered from a medical seizure, causing him to drive through a bus shelter, and then into a garden, through a neighbours fence.
The man suffered from moderate injuries, and no one else was injured in the accident, Mr Taylor said.
"He has had a history of seizures, so he is coming out of a seizure and recovering quite well.
