A Whangaparaoa man is to be charged with receiving $100,000 of pounamu stolen four years ago, and with a host of other burglaries.
Queenstown police said the man, 29, would appear in the North Shore District Court on October 19 charged with receiving the greenstone, taken from the Opal Centre in Queenstown on May 18, 2001.
He has also been charged with the theft of five wall paintings, valued at $3300, from Queenstown's St Moritz Hotel on May 29, 2001.
