Police have charged a man with the murder of another man whose body was found in a south Auckland sleepout last week.
The unemployed 27-year-old was to appear in Manukau District Court today charged with murder and with theft over property that was stolen from the home of Richard Lees.
The body of Mr Lees, 55, was found last Friday in the converted garage where he lived in Manurewa.
A post-mortem examination revealed he died of head injuries.
Police investigations are continuing.
