A man has been charged for using a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol after a passenger on a quad bike he was driving died after falling off.
A 23-year-old Cromwell man will appear in the Alexandra District Court on December 6 charged with careless use of a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
Andrew Paul Grubb, 20, of Palmerston fell off the quad bike on Wishart Crescent in Cromwell in the early hours of September 11. He died from his injuries in Dunedin Hospital five days later.
