A 31-year-old man charged with the harassment of a well-known television personality has been remanded to a psychiatric unit.
In Wellington District Court today Gregory Carstens faced two charges of criminal harassment, and two charges of threatening to injure or kill. He also faces charges of supplying cocaine and shoplifting.
While in the dock, Carstens identified his alleged victim, whose name Judge Geoffrey Ellis suppressed.
Carstens was remanded on bail until March 4, to reside in the psychiatric unit at Wellington Hospital.
He was also instructed not to contact, directly or indirectly, the complainant or his family.
