KEY POINTS:
A woman is dead and a man has been charged with murder after what police are calling "a domestic related" incident in the Bay of Plenty town of Kawerau today.
Detective Senior Sergeant Tim Anderson, of Rotorua, said the body of a 47-year-old woman was found at a Kawerau house about 10.30am today.
A 68-year-old man had been charged with her murder and would be appear in Whakatane District Court tomorrow.
"A number of witnesses are currently being spoken to and the address is being examined by detectives and ESR scientists," Mr Anderson said.
