Man charged with biting dog

A man who is alleged to have bitten a dog's ear in Blenheim yesterday has been arrested and charged with ill-treating an animal.

The 38-year-old man will appear in Blenheim District Court tomorrow.

A woman told police she had seen the man biting the dog's ear in a carpark near Redwoodtown, Blenheim, yesterday morning.
