A man accused of murdering his 9-month-old daughter in Turangi last year has appeared in court but is yet to enter a plea.
Donovan Michael Duff, 40, appeared in the High Court at Rotorua today via video link.
He was remanded by Justice Sarah Katz until June 28 so a lawyer can be assigned to him.
He represented himself at the appearance.
Crown prosecutor Chris Macklin said if Duff pleaded not guilty the date for his trial would be a year away - June 11, 2018. Justice Katz said two weeks would be set aside for a trial.
