A Wellington man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a 23-year-old man was stabbed multiple times outside a public swimming pool.
The 32-year-old Naenae man appeared in Lower Hutt District Court today after an altercation outside the Naenae swimming pool at 1.40pm yesterday.
Lower Hutt CIB Detective Sergeant Mike Sears said the 23-year-old victim had been admitted to Wellington Hospital, where his condition was described as serious but stable.
The accused was remanded in custody.
Mr Sears asked for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
