A Kaitaia man has been charged with 43 sex offences against young boys and teenagers.
The accused has multiple alleged victims, including boys under 12 and teenage boys aged between 12 and 16, police said.
He is charged with carrying out 39 counts of indecent assault and four other sexual violence offences.
The case is subject to a wide ranging suppression order covering the name, occupation and age of the accused.
He is set make his second appearance in Kaitaia District Court tomorrow.
