A Lower Hutt man has been charged with manslaughter after a Taita man died in a driveway near his home last month.
A homicide investigation was launched after Michael James Mulholland, 52, was found unconscious in a Farmer Crescent driveway by a friend on September 20.
Friends and emergency workers tried to revive him but he died at the scene.
Inquiry head Detective Inspector Darrin Thomson today said a 30-year-old man had been charged with manslaughter.
He appeared in Lower Hutt District today and was remanded in custody.
