A man has been charged with burglary after a ram raid on a service station in which $10,000 of tobacco and cigarettes were stolen.
Thieves drove a stolen light truck through a roller door behind a Shell station in Marton in the raid early on Monday morning.
A 34-year-old man was arrested after police searched a Marton property at 9.30pm yesterday, police said.
Some cigarettes and tobacco believed stolen during the burglary were recovered.
The man will appear at Marton District Court on Wednesday, February 9 charged with burglary and unlawful taking of a vehicle.
A search for a second person believed to have been involved in the burglary are continuing, police said.
