An alleged armed robber accused of threatening a Christchurch post shop worker with a knife and taking off with money has been charged, police say.
A 36-year old man will appear at Christchurch District Court on Wednesday accused of being behind the aggravated robbery of Phillipstown Post Shop and Pharmacy on Ferry Rd on October 3.
Police said at the time that a man presented a knife to a female staff member, demanded cash, and took off on foot.
The alleged robber was at large for almost two months before his arrest.
Police investigations are ongoing.
