A man has been charged after a police pursuit yesterday where two other people were injured.
The 26-year-old appeared in the Manukau District Court charged with unlawfully taking a vehicle and dangerous driving.
Police were called to Whitford about noon yesterday after reports of a stolen vehicle suspected to have been involved in a burglary.
The car was seen by police on Sandstone Rd about 12.40pm, but allegedly fled when he was when signalled to stop by police.The pursuit lasted about one minute.
Police deployed road spikes, but the car crashed shortly after while attempting to avoid the spikes near the intersection of Whitford Park Rd.
