A 57-year-old man is to appear in Dunedin District Court today after another man was injured with a machete last night.
The incident happened about 9pm in the alleged offender's caravan in the Dunedin suburb of Broad Bay, Senior Sergeant Brian Benn of Dunedin said.
The man has been charged with wounding with intent to injure after he allegedly hit another man in the thigh while the pair were arguing.
The 34-year-old victim was still in hospital with "quite a nasty cut", Mr Benn said.
