Man charged after fatal stabbing in South Auckland

A 21-year-old man is to appear in court today after a man was fatally stabbed during a family argument at a South Auckland home.

Police said the man would appear in the Manukau District Court today charged with assault with a weapon.

Emergency services were called to a Robertson Rd, Favona, home at 9.30pm where a 42-year-old had been stabbed.

He was taken to hospital but later died during surgery.

A guard remains at the property today as police investigate.

Police said family members at the Robertson Rd house were arguing when the victim was attacked with a weapon.

No one else is being sought in relation to the stabbing.
