An 18-year-old man who drove his car into a crowd of people has received multiple charges this afternoon.
A pregnant woman suffered a broken leg and two others were also injured after being struck during the incident in Hamilton last Sunday.
This afternoon, a man was charged on three counts of injury with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, Detective Sergeant Will Loughrin said.
"He also faces excess breath alcohol, driving while disqualified and failing to render assistance charges and will appear in the Hamilton District Court later today."
The Subaru Impreza used in the incident was originally driven by a woman, who had stopped to allow the man to get out and vomit.
