A man has been flown to Hawke's Bay Regional Hospital after he accidentally became crushed between the floor of the woolshed and the digger he was driving.
The man suffered multiple injuries to his pelvis and spine areas while working at a woolshed near Elsthorpe, southern Hawke's Bay, about 10.30am today.
He had been cleaning out sheep manure when the accident happened. Workmates had to initially cut the floor away with a chainsaw before he could be removed.
He was flown by the Lowe Corporation Rescue rescue helicopter to Hawke's Bay Regional Hospital for further treatment.
